Welcome to Seriously Social, a place where we take our story seriously. Our simple ethos is that “The Outside world doesn’t matter here,” which means that we strive to create an environment where you can unwind and relax without any cares or concerns from the world outside.
At The Port Admiral, we take pride in being an all-inclusive venue. Our staff comes from all walks of life, and we understand the importance of having a safe space where you will always be accepted for who you are. We know that humans can be complicated, and the last thing you want is to worry about being judged while you’re enjoying a pint of beer. If anyone ever makes you feel otherwise, we encourage you to let us know so that we can improve and maintain the welcoming atmosphere that we’re known for.
We’re also community-driven, and we believe that pubs were initially meant to be public meeting spots. Our goal is to bring back the original intent of pubs, to provide a space for communities to come together, celebrate what makes them unique, and mourn the things that occasionally tear them apart. We’re thrilled to host many local community groups week after week and hope to see this number grow.
Furthermore, we’re proud to be a gluten-free kitchen, as we have a special relationship with the Coeliac community of Port Adelaide. We know how difficult it can be for those who suffer from the disease to find a place that provides safe and comfortable gluten-free food. That’s why we made the decision to make our kitchen entirely gluten-free. It’s a pleasure for us to see our patrons relaxed and enjoying food that they, their family, or their friends haven’t been able to eat for years.
These are just some of the ways we keep the outside just where it is, and we couldn’t do it without the instrumental support of our patrons. You all embody our mantras, which helps to maintain a positive and accepting environment that’s safe for everyone
