The Port Admiral is South Australia’s second 100% gluten-free pub in Adelaide and the sister venue to The Duke of Brunswick Hotel that was Australia’s first. That’s right – all the food in this entire building is free from that nasty gluten so that you can eat without fear. With a range of unique function spaces to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect setting for your event. What’s more our team will take care of everything so you can relax and enjoy your special day.
If we can’t get you a seat then have no fear! Unless we’re incredibly busy we offer takeaway whenever the kitchen is open so that all of you can still get your fix of 100% gluten-free happiness even from the comfort of your home. You can find our full menu here. While all dishes are available for takeaway, some will definitely travel better than others so make sure you check with the staff when you place your order.
If you want to have a function outside of these times just give us a call and we’ll be more than happy to sort something out. We love hosting breakfast functions so don’t let our opening hours fool you.

Make a booking
Wondering which Area to book? As the oldest building in Port Adelaide, we have limited capacity to provide indoor seating downstairs. Most tables of 4 or more will be seated upstairs in the Calton or Sanders rooms.
Downstairs indoor dining is available in the Galley or the Bottleshop but is very limited.
Please note that our upstairs dining is only accessible by stairs and as such not suitable for guests with mobility issues. If you are making a booking and would like to discuss ground-floor options please call the venue direct on 870080228.
